Bakers Dozen c/o KB via ej.
- springtime in the south = beautiful weather
- I try to enjoy it, but come down with (what I think) is the worst case of indigestion I've ever had.
- 36 hours, and several Tums/Pepto Bismol cocktails later, my chest still hurts. Thinking it's gotta be heart-related, and keeping my promise to ej - I head to the ER.
- 5PM Saturday:: waiting patiently in Piedmont Hospital's ER, I'm comforted by the fact that I'm not on a heart monitor, which means it's not a cardiac problem.
- 2AM Sunday:: I finally find out it's gallstones, and I need to have surgery - later this week that is (gotta get rid of the cold I caught waiting in the frigid ER). Great.
- 3AM Sunday:: Oxycodone is a good thing.
- 10AM Sunday:: too much of a good thing?...the oxycodone is making me too nauseous & dizzy to stay awake. And I have to figure out a way to live with the chest pains & work until the actual surgery...oh well. the chaos helps me out around the crib & with hammy in the meantime.
- 3PM Sunday:: Motrin is as good a thing as I can handle right now.
- Note: having gallstones is a lil like having a gastric bypass. I can only eat/drink a tiny bit of anything (non-fatty, non-greasy, non-spicy foods), without making myself really sick. Hm...suddenly God is Trying to Tell You Sumthin' is running through my head.
- 4PM:: dyeing eggs with Hammy - whose favorite egg color appears to be chocolate (well, he just likes putting the eggs in all the egg colors). Like mother...
- Easter Sunday started off sunny & warm, and ends rainy & cold. The analogy in my head: Christ rises, takes a look at the state of the world, and weeps, uncontrollably. Comforting thought of the day, rain or no rain - He IS.
- A smidge of ham, lite (sans butter) mac&cheese, collards, yams & cornbread chaser, with a side of Motrin - and by 8pm I'm unconscious.

Woah, so that's what happened. Farewell to the gallbladder indeed. I definitely need to call you...whew...
